Meet Hallie, a participant with autism in our Kaleidoscope program, and hear about her hopes and dreams!
What do you love about Kaleidoscope?
My friends – they’re fun to talk to and go out in the community with, the “bestie” crew of staff around my age and it’s really fun to talk to them about life and pop culture and tease each other, and the field trips and going to some fun places. Being able to order for myself at coffee shops and volunteering where we get to help out the community.
What are some of your favorite hobbies and activities?
Singing, dancing, journaling, coloring, reading, makeup, and watching and creating YouTube videos. I like to go on my swing and listen to music to relax.
What are some of your big dreams and goals in life?
To be a celebrity or famous so that I can be an influencer and teach people makeup and autism and how it affects my brain. I wanna visit Australia and see the Steve Irwin Zoo because I grew up watching Steve Irwin and his family. I would also like to be a singer so that I can share stories and experiences by singing like Taylor Swift.
With programs like this at Easterseals Northern California, goals like Hallie’s can become a reality.
